According to Bloomberg, the world’s richest family are the Al Nahyans , the ruling family of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and owners of the UK soccer club Manchester City.
The Al Nahyan’s have ruled the UAE since the 70s and are worth over $305B
Richest family in the US are the Waltons, heirs to the Walmart fortune, worth an estimated $260B
Richest family in Europe are the luxury goods maker, Hermes family.
Lastly, richest Canadian family are the Thomsons, at number 10 in the world (Full list here).
This was interesting, the US is characterized to be much more unequal than Europe but it is a dynamic inequality. It’s very hard to to hang on to wealth for multiple generations compared to Europe.

How well do corporate’s know their consumers? Interesting chart looking at retailers targeting population densities and income levels. As lower end consumers struggle, we could see retailers more exposed to those demographics struggle.
I’d guess the trend you see in the chart below is because times are tough. Older men are re-entering the workforce.
